Several local vendors will join us on Friday and Saturday. Plan to stop by to shop their wares and see some artist demos. Our vendor lineup for 2018 includes:
Buchanan Fiber by Sarah Buchanan
We create hand-dyed and hand blended spinning fibers that incorporate Common Milkweed floss with GOTS certified cotton, family-farmed wools, and Suri Alpaca. We offer cotton silver dyed in gradients and many varieties of punis for those who prefer a woolen spinning experience or are new to spinning short-stapled fibers. Cotton yarn in weights ranging from very fine to worsted are also hand-dyed and provide a beautiful knitting or weaving experience.

Dyelicious Yarns/Tempe Yarn & Fiber by Terry Neal
Dyelicious Yarns is an Arizona based yarn company exclusive to Tempe Yarn and Fiber. Hand dyed in many different bases, you can easily find the perfect yarn for any project. Using Arizona landmarks and beautiful vistas as the inspirations, Dyelicious yarns offer numerous unique, one of a kind color ways and dye techniques. We will have many beautiful yarns from fingering weight all the way up to super bulky. Dyelicious and Tempe Yarn and Fiber have also partnered with Woolhalla Tunis Fibers, another local small business. Walhalla Tunis brings many different sheep breed fibers and mill spun yarns to the table. We will have sheep specific roving and core spun coiled hand dyed yarn also available for purchase.

We also carry unique and original yarn (Silk Blend, Linen, Cotton), Shibori fabric project
bags, and antique scissors. All designs and yarn are great for our climate and you really can wear them all year here in Arizona.

Thanks for your interest in vending at the 7th annual Arizona Fiber Arts Retreat at the Prescott Resort, 1500 AZ-69, Prescott, Arizona. Please complete the application below and return it along with two high quality images of the items you will have for sale to Lisa Takata at pppaz2@yahoo.com. We have seven vendor spaces available for the January 2018 event but expect them to fill quickly. Please return your application as soon as possible but no later than September 1, 2017. Event Details:
* The Arizona Fiber Arts Retreat will be held at the Prescott Resort, 1500 AZ-69 in Prescott, AZ. The four day event includes two days of vending on Friday January 19, 2018 and Saturday January 20, 2018 from 10 am to 5 pm. Our primary audience is fiber artists and makers from throughout Arizona. We expect 100 event participants per day. We will have a variety of vendors selling fiber arts, tools, supplies, spinning and felting fibers, yarn and handmade items. Vendors are encouraged to demonstrate during the event.
* Vendor spaces are approximately 8 feet square in an open indoor setting in the resort lobby adjacent to meeting rooms/classrooms. The hotel can provide each vendor with a 4 x 6 foot table and a chair and wi-fi access. Vendors may bring their own display tables, racks or shelves as long as they fit within the 8 square feet of space allocated to their booth and allow ample space for participants walking between events. Booths may be set up starting at 7 am on Friday, January 19 and must be completed by 10 am. We ask that all vendors remain open during event hours, 10 am to 5 pm on Friday and Saturday. The front door of the resort provides convenient access for loading and unloading your booth displays and merchandise to your booth space on the ground floor. We recommend you bring helpers to load and unload your booth and provide booth coverage during the day as needed. Please keep in mind that the vending area is accessible to the public 24-7 so you should cover or otherwise secure merchandise and other valuables overnight on Friday January 19. Event organizers are not responsible for any missing or lost items.
* The vendor fee is $50 payable to AFAR upon notification of acceptance as a vendor, in order to reserve your space. This nonrefundable $50 fee covers the cost of your lunch at the resort on Friday and Saturday. We are also asking each vendor to donate an item for a raffle to support the event. Vendors are responsible for their own transactions as well as any applicable licenses and taxes.
* Please note our event also includes the dates of January 17-18, however no vending will occur on those dates. All are welcome to join us on those dates for fellowship and fiber arts making prior to the two vending days. Thanks for your interest!
